Executive Search Announcement
Keeling & Associates, LLC (K&A) is excited to announce an expansion of our team of Senior Consultants, with the addition of Dr. Almeda Rogers Jacks — and the inauguration of a significant new service: executive searches for Senior Officers (Vice Presidents or Vice Chancellors) in Student Affairs and/or Enrollment Management, and for Student Affairs development officers. Dr. Jacks will lead this new service, which augments K&A’s established program of assistance to institutions searching for new directors for student health and counseling services.
Almeda Jacks is joining the senior consulting team following 31 years of service at Clemson University, including 14 years as Vice President for Student Affairs and several years teaching in the College of Education. Dr. Jacks is well known in the Southeast and across the United States for her experience as a senior Student Affairs officer; her ongoing and valuable service to the field of student affairs, and especially NASPA — Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education and the NASPA Foundation; her consulting experience; and her service as a peer evaluator for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
The combined experience and expertise of Dr. Jacks and Richard P. Keeling, M.D., Principal and Senior Executive Consultant, form the framework for a uniquely qualified and responsive recruiting service that complements, informs, and adds value to established in-house search processes. K&A’s services sidestep the extensive costs and lack of control that often accompany the recruiting process. Instead, we offer a consultative approach that is mission-oriented and focused on improving overall outcomes in higher education; recruiting is therefore a means to an end, rather than an end in itself.
K&A also provides executive consultation, coaching, and transition support to newly appointed placements (both interim and permanent). Given the extensive service of our senior consultants in executive roles in higher education, K&A can offer a developmental and well informed perspective to both new and experienced leaders and administrators as a way of advancing their own unique potential while increasing the probability of their success in their new roles. Having the “right” person in a student affairs leadership role facilitates collaboration and can help build strong bridges between the divisions of Student Affairs and Academic Affairs to promote student success.
