K&A Congratulates Dr. David Albert

Keeling & Associates congratulates Dr. David Albert on being selected as the Director, Student Counseling Service at the University of Chicago. In this role, Dr. Albert will provide senior leadership in the planning, implementation, coordination, assessment, and continuous improvement of counseling and mental health programs and services for more than 15,000 University of Chicago students. 

Dr. Albert comes to the University of Chicago having most recently served as the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at the University of Hartford. His portfolio includes service as an assistant professor in the University of Connecticut School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry, Founding Director of the University of Connecticut Child and Adolescent Outpatient Trauma Clinic, and Consulting Psychologist for the Connecticut Department of Families. 

In addition to an impressive professional record, Dr. Albert has extensive clinical and supervisory experience, a record of publication in academic journals and books, and has delivered numerous presentations at symposia, workshops, and invited lectures. Dr. Albert took his doctorate from Northwestern University Medical School and completed his postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Hospital’s Victims of Violence Program. He completed his B.A. in Russian Studies from Amherst College.
